Having an immense passion in baking and cooking ever since he was a kid, Adrian, the owner of Dessert Maisonette decided to start an online bakery. A self-taught baker formerly from the finance industry, he was intrigued at how combining simple ingredients could turn into something beautiful and tasty like a cake! He believes that when it comes to food, the taste always triumphs over the presentation. As such, Dessert Maisonette prides in placing taste and quality above everything else in their bakes.
Dessert Maisonette believes in bringing their customers quality macarons where the fillings are soft and chewy while maintaining a crisp eggshell-like skin; at the same time not being too sweet with a light and delicate texture. This online bakery is always experimenting with new and unique flavours, and plans to introduce a South East Asian inspired macaron collection with exciting flavours such as Durian, Milo, Pandan and Gula Melaka.
I am very honoured to have part of dessert table for Keith’s birthday party to be sponsored by Dessert Maisonette. These exquisite macarons were beautifully designed to cater to the theme; “Shades of Blue”. Not only i love how pretty they look, they tasted delicious too. Crunchy and not too sweet, just right to my liking.
Matcha with Azuki Beans Macarons
I am impressed by the consistency of the macarons, each and every of them boasts a crispy and crunchy shell filled with smooth and chewy interior. My favourite would be the hazelnut flavour, which possessed a rich nutty flavour and appropriate level of moistness to melt in our mouths. Matcha and Azuki Beans was another flavour which stood out, I love how the azuki beans complemented the matcha, green tea lovers like me will definitely enjoy it!
A big thank you to Dessert Maisonette for these lovely treats. I appreciate your time and efforts in crafting each and every macaron. The guests, Keith and I enjoyed all of these delectable and yummy macarons.
Dessert Maisonette has many other signature flavours for its macarons which include Salted Butter Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Rose, Lavender and Oreo Cheesecake. They do dessert table for events and also offer customization for their macarons; I think they would make wonderful gifts for special occasions! Other then their signature macarons, they have many other kinds of desserts ranging from cupcakes/cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, cookies, meringues and cake pops. Sadly, Dessert Maisonette is closed for orders for this year but they are launching a massive Chinese New Year collection in January so hope over to their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dessertmaisonette and Instagram @dessertmaisonette for more updates to be released soon! <3
