Match live music, a riverfront scenic spot and a mill of delicious food – you get the complete Timbre experience. Sitting by the Singapore River, Timbre @ The Arts House is situated in a beautifully restored historical building that used to play host to Singapore’s parliamentary meetings. The alfresco dining experience gets you in the perfect mood as the sun sets, plus a scenic view of the entire Boat Quay district.
Renowned most usually for their one of a kind Duck Pizza and support for local musicians, Timbre @ The Arts House has been the go to destination to enjoy a wide range of pastas, pizzas, tapas, salads and of course a host of drinks to get the night started.
We had a try on some of the new dishes on top of their brand-new range of cocktails too – here’s our favourites and recommendation on the must try items! Ordering food at Timbre is also quite seamless, they have an electronic menu on iPads to easily browse and input your desired items.
Timbre Chicken Wings
A messy affair no doubt, the chicken wings at Timbre is always a sinful treat to have. Topped with Timbre’s specialty devil sauce and roasted peanuts, this is one of the must orders for perfectly deep-fried chicken wings.
Garlic Prawns & Chorizo
One of the most memorable flavours from the bunch, this dish packs a distinctive flavour with plump prawns and chorizo cooked in garlic butter white wine sauce.
Normandy Beef Stew
New on the menu, the Normandy Beef Stew comes in a huge portion of super tender beef cubes, cooked in a cream based sauce.
Adding to the menu, Timbre’s new range of cocktails are created specially by the bartenders, each with their very own special something that makes the cocktail signature to them. Featuring three Timbre Specials of The Haze Bourbon, Gin Blossoms and the Common People Rum. Our favourite is the Common People – a concoction of Rum, Lemon Tea, Wild fruits and Elderflower, akin to a unique teh tarik inspired blend!
Timbre also offers Punch Bowls good for sharing between 5-6 people, alongside unusual cocktail names like No Chilli No Shiok!, Sweatshop Jam (Shot), Supersonic.
Overall, dining at Timbre @ The Arts House is a great place for either a group hangout with friends or a romantic date with your significant other. Perfect time to drop by will be slightly past 6pm, you’ll get to catch the sun setting amidst the backdrop of the scenic Boat Quay. Good food, music and location – one of my best dining recommendations.
