One Sunday afternoon, I brought my family to the first food tasting event! 🙂
Over at Elly’s 小吃, they serve dishes with a fushion of Indo-Asian cuisine, which includes local dishes such as Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee, Indonesia dishes such as Lontong Sayar and Chicken Rendang! Inspired by her mother’s cooking, she named the stall after her mother Elly, who is also the main chef at the stall. A humble family-oriented business drew lots of her long time supporters from her previous food stall business simply because of her unique tasting cuisine.
Enough said, here are the yummy food! 🙂
Chicken Rendang ($3.50)
The chicken was juicy, tender and well-marinated. I was amazed that such a simple dish can taste so good!
Chicken Curry Beehoon ($3.40 to $4.50)
This dish consists of chunks of chicken meat, taupok, potatoes and of course beehoon. My mum loves this dish! She commented that it was really tasty as the curry was fragrant and full-flavoured.
Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee ($3.40 to $4.50)
This is my favourite dish! The gravy was thick and flavourful and the dish was delicious when eaten hot!
Lontong Sayur ($3.00)
This dish consists of egg, french beans, cabbage and carrot.
A hearty lunch for my family! I was honoured to be invited to the food tasting together with my family thanks to Elly’s daughter, Veron. It was definitely a new and interesting experience with them.
